The HTC Droid Incredible 4G: Coming Soon to a Verizon Store near You
The latest update in the Droid series has been spotted in the wild, the Droid Incredible 4G. This device is rumored to be hitting Verizon stores sometime in April – possibly as early as a release April 4 in New York.
Known one time as the Fireball, this newest handset from HTC will feature Android 4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and 4G LTE are both considered certainties at release, with GSM world roaming a possibility. Of course, speculation has run rampant about what is on the inside, and here is what is speculated upon in many circles. The phone will pack in a 1.2GHz processor with a Qualcomm Adreno 225 GPU, a so-so 4.3 inch qHD 720p touch screen, 8MP Camera, front-facing camera, 1 GB of RAM, Beats Audio enhancement, Wi-Fi (802.x), and Bluetooth.
While information from the FCC is non-confirmed, and speculation among various Android sites is rampant, you can be sure that this handset will like feature everything you have come to love from HTC. Of course, the question remains: Will this new handset be a viable challenger to the iPhone? Not necessarily. That question may be answered down the line when the HTC One X rolls into stores. So until then, HTC and Android fans can only wait – patiently.
