I think you will be good with the basic 13inch
I am buying a Mac for its battery life and ease of use. But I do also own an Alienware for when I wana get naughty
with my right hand 
as in using the mouse to MURDER THEM NOOBSS yea okay. lol I use both ^.^

I’m getting the late 2011 13,3. I’m from Brazil, so we pay even MORE for all Apple products here because of government taxes. Beside that I save something like ~350 bucks getting the late 2011 instead of the 2012 model. Since I’ve got 8GB of RAM and a 120GB SSD waiting for the Pro performance will be pretty much the same I guess…
